Writer

I've written poems and stories since childhood, although these days I tend to stick mainly to poetry.  Inspiration strikes in many guises, from the intricacies of nature to the slightly sinister nature of cold fish fingers.  Sometimes the work I do with both words and fabric becomes a little blurred and the result is a poem stitched through with sewing or weaving metaphors.

My poems have been published in various magazines and anthologies, and also appear on the Visual Verse, Letter to an Unknown Soldier, and Places of Poetry websites.

I also have two pamphlets available - a collection of my Christmas poems, and my children's Christmas story The Crow Secret.

Finding My Tail

Published by Indigo Dreams in 2013, Finding My Tail is my first collection of poetry, which takes a subtly sideways look at life, love and the world in which we live.

The Crow Secret is a children's Christmas story, originally written for my niece and nephew.

Decorating the Tree is a collection of Christmas poems.

Poetry Cards

Over the years I've used a selection of my festive poems to create Christmas cards - the calligramme Decorating The Tree works particularly well.
